Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.
It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.
In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.
We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.
Shortline Subaru's commitment to the Love Promise in the Aurora/Denver area is reflected in our partnership with many different local charities and organizations. We are proud to give back to the great community that we have been a part of for over 25 years.
Shortline Subaru has made the Love Promise Pledge as a proud Subaru dealer in its community of Aurora, Colorado, located in the greater Denver metro. Don Hicks, Dealer Principal at Shortline Subaru, has been committed to helping people in Shortline's community in any way that he can. Shortline has given over $100,000 to the online cancer-connection site, MyLifeline.org, to help families and friends stay closely connected during a critical battle against cancer. Shortline has also donated over $50,000 to the Denver area’s Porter-Billups Leadership Academy to assist at-risk kids stay focused in high school, help prepare them for college entrance, and help them qualify for college scholarships given out by the Porter-Billups Academy. There are dozens of other organizations in Shortline’s community who have thrived under the assistance of Shortline Subaru…all because Don Hicks has the heart to seek out the needs of his community, the mind to figure out how to make change happen, and the passion to see it through. Shortline Subaru. Help people. Feel Better.
Shortline Subaru seemed like another typical car dealership in Aurora, CO. I drove by it on the way to work everyday never thinking it was anything special. One morning, while listening to 103.5 The Fox radio station, I had heard that they were doing a toy drive for anyone that needed help giving something to their kids for Christmas. It made me think of a friend of mine that was struggling to keep her job and support her kids. Since I couldn't help her financially, I stopped by on the day of the giveaway and grabbed her toys that she could give to her kids for Christmas. She was so happy and great full for the help! Ironically, the next year, I suffered a brain injury resulting in stokes that left me much slower cognitively then I was before. Unfortunately, due to my injury, I was let go from my job leaving me struggling to support my two children as a single mother. Shortline Subaru and The Fox radio station helped me bring Christmas to my kids last year just as they had done for my friend they year before. Everyone was friendly and upbeat. No one seemed to judge me on why I was there and made me feel welcome. I wanted to thank them for all of their help (and the Fox radio station) and recognize them for their support in the community. Thank you so much for your help. You made not only my children's Christmas awesome, but the end of my year less stressful and full of joy. Thank you for all that you do for the community!
The Dolphin House Child Advocacy Center provides a safe, child-friendly environment for child abuse victims and their non-offending family members to tell their story of abuse and neglect to law enforcement and child protective service investigators. Our mission is to provide help, hope and healing to victims of child abuse throughout the six-county area. The funds provided to us by the Subaru Share the Love campaign will allow us to provide quality forensic interviews for child victims in a safe, non-threatening environment. Our multidisciplinary approach allows a child victim to tell his/her story only once, reducing the possibility of further trauma for the child. The funds will also allow us to provide pediatric forensic medical exams for these children in our safe, child-friendly facility—again reducing further trauma for the child. Since our inception our goal has been to provide families in our 7th Judicial District of Colorado with the very best of service and support possible during their times of need when children are victims of abuse. Thank you Flower Subaru for all you do for our community.
During the month of April Shortline Subaru took part in Subaru's Love the Earth campaign. Throughout the month boxes were placed in the showroom for people to recycle their old electronic equipment.
We were thrilled to be able to present a check to the Porter-Billups Leadership Academy at Regis University. The money will assist the academy in helping at risk and low income Denver youth. This was part of Subaru's Share the Love Event held in December and January.
The Porter-Billups Leadership Academy is proud to be chosen to be a part of the recent Share the Love Campaign
MyLifeLine.org has once again been chosen as one the local organizations that people were able to give to during the recent Subaru Share the Love Campaign
For our Share the Love campaign we are pleased to announce that the Porter-Billups Leadership Academy at Regis University is one of the local charities we have selected to give to this year.
During the recent Subaru Share the Love campaign we were once again thrilled to select MyLifeLine.org as one of our two local charities.
Shortline Subaru has partnered with a local radio station 103.5 the Fox to have a Toy Drive/Toy Giveaway every year the Friday before Christmas. The goal is to make sure no child in the area will spend Christmas without receiving a toy. This past year we were able to give well over 200 plus toys.
