What is the Subaru Love Promise?

The Subaru Love Promise is a commitment to do right by our community.  Subaru dealers partner with local nonprofit education, health, community, environment, and animal organizations to better our communities at a grassroots level.  At Shortline Subaru, we invest in that commitment throughout the year.

The Love Promise starts with Subaru of America

Subaru of America stays true to the Love Promise by partnering with a wide variety of nonprofits and charities. In addition to these partnerships, every year Subaru, our owners, and our retailers join hands in the "Share the Love" event, giving back to charities across the country. Over the past 20 years, Subaru of America has donated over $50 million to causes we care about, and logged over 28,000 volunteer hours.
All of the organizations we support have one thing in common: an unwavering dedication to improve the world and people's lives.
The charities' varying specialties and passions include:

Pets

Whether they live in our homes or in the wild, Subaru is committed to keeping all animals safe and healthy.

A partner since 2008, Subaru has donated close to $14 million to the ASPCA and helped support nearly 1,000 pet adoption events, resulting in more than 11,500 adoptions to date.

Environment

Loving the environment means more than loving the great outdoors. It means working to preserve it.

Over a decade ago, Subaru became the first U.S. auto manufacturer to become zero-landfill, and now, in collaboration with the National Park Service and the National Parks Conservation Association, Subaru is leveraging that same environmental expertise to help the National Parks reach zero-landfill too.

Education

It’s our goal to make the pursuit of knowledge available to as many minds as possible.

Total donations to teachers: $92,233
Over 200 teachers adopted
More than 15,000 students impacts

Community

In a perfect world, hunger would be history and hope would be commonplace. We believe a perfect world is possible.

Subaru and Meals on Wheels America worked together to make volunteering easier, by launching a tool called the Meals on Wheels Online Volunteer Drive.

Health

We should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. We’re aiming to give as many people that chance as we can.

Subaru has donated more than $4.5 million dollars to
Make A Wish, helping to grant 610 wishes in the U.S.

Love Promise Stories from Shortline Subaru

Christmas toy drive  –  Tasha T

Christmas toy drive

Shortline Subaru seemed like another typical car dealership in Aurora, CO. I drove by it on the way to work everyday never thinking it was anything special. One morning, while listening to 103.5 The Fox radio station, I had heard that they were doing a toy drive for anyone that needed help giving something to their kids for Christmas. It made me think of a friend of mine that was struggling to keep her job and support her kids. Since I couldn't help her financially, I stopped by on the day of the giveaway and grabbed her toys that she could give to her kids for Christmas. She was so happy and great full for the help! Ironically, the next year, I suffered a brain injury resulting in stokes that left me much slower cognitively then I was before. Unfortunately, due to my injury, I was let go from my job leaving me struggling to support my two children as a single mother. Shortline Subaru and The Fox radio station helped me bring Christmas to my kids last year just as they had done for my friend they year before. Everyone was friendly and upbeat. No one seemed to judge me on why I was there and made me feel welcome. I wanted to thank them for all of their help (and the Fox radio station) and recognize them for their support in the community. Thank you so much for your help. You made not only my children's Christmas awesome, but the end of my year less stressful and full of joy. Thank you for all that you do for the community!

Dolphin House Child Advocacy Center  –  Rhonda F

Dolphin House Child Advocacy Center

The Dolphin House Child Advocacy Center provides a safe, child-friendly environment for child abuse victims and their non-offending family members to tell their story of abuse and neglect to law enforcement and child protective service investigators. Our mission is to provide help, hope and healing to victims of child abuse throughout the six-county area. The funds provided to us by the Subaru Share the Love campaign will allow us to provide quality forensic interviews for child victims in a safe, non-threatening environment. Our multidisciplinary approach allows a child victim to tell his/her story only once, reducing the possibility of further trauma for the child. The funds will also allow us to provide pediatric forensic medical exams for these children in our safe, child-friendly facility—again reducing further trauma for the child. Since our inception our goal has been to provide families in our 7th Judicial District of Colorado with the very best of service and support possible during their times of need when children are victims of abuse. Thank you Flower Subaru for all you do for our community.

Shortline Subaru Supports 103.5 the Fox with their Annual Toy Drive/Toy Giveaway

Shortline Subaru has partnered with a local radio station 103.5 the Fox to have a Toy Drive/Toy Giveaway every year the Friday before Christmas. The goal is to make sure no child in the area will spend Christmas without receiving a toy. This past year we were able to give well over 200 plus toys.
